In 1992, the Labour Court rejected a hospital domestic’s complaint alleging sexual harassment and constructive dismissal. The determination was dated 4 August 1992.
The worker said patients had harassed her and that she left after a transfer request was reversed. The hospital denied the allegations. The Court found the incidents probably took place, but said their seriousness had been exaggerated and that a nursing officer was always present in the ward. It also found that the worker had not given hospital personnel a reasonable opportunity to review her concerns before she left.
