Labour Court rejects Pat Treacy's holiday-pay appeal on time-limit grounds

By Rory Hanlon

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court rejected Pat Treacy's appeal and upheld the Rights Commissioner's decision that his holiday-pay complaint was out of time. The determination was dated 7 January 2002; the merits were not decided. Treacy said he believed a successful fellow worker's claim would benefit other employees. Cementation Skanska Ireland Limited said workers received holiday pay through premium payments and argued the claim was out of time.
