The Labour Court varied a €640 Rights Commissioner decision on Barry Express (Longford) Limited’s appeal, recommending €81.80 for one public holiday and €120 compensation. The determination was signed on 19 August 2003. The company accepted at the hearing that Camillus Glennon was owed payment for one public holiday. The Court found he had received his full annual-leave entitlement and was entitled to one day’s public-holiday pay. It upheld the company’s appeal and varied the earlier decision.
