Labour Court dismisses Anna-Marie Flanagan’s appeal over breaks and holiday pay

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court dismissed Anna-Marie Flanagan’s appeal against findings that Merloni Ltd provided rest breaks and met her holiday entitlements. The determination was signed on 20 December 2005. The Court found Flanagan had received 6.6 days’ pay for annual leave on termination, more than her statutory entitlement of 4.3 days. It also found she was not entitled to extra pay for three Christmas public holidays because her employment did not end in the week before them. The Court affirmed the Rights Commissioner’s decision and disallowed the appeal.
