The WRC recommended placing a worker on a long service increment scale to account for time she was deemed fit for work from 2018 to 2020. The recommendation was dated 5 July 2023. The worker said periods of leave had been counted as ordinary sick leave, affecting her salary-scale entitlement. The adjudicator concluded that the WRC had jurisdiction and that the worker had not had a fair opportunity to review and challenge an occupational health report used to calculate her reckonable service. The recommendation gives two different scale descriptions: “LSI 2 scale” and “first LS1 scale”.
