The Workplace Relations Commission declined to recommend that a hospital concede a Grade 7 manager’s claim for regrading to Grade 8. The recommendation was dated 3 June 2025. The worker said his manager had supported considering an upgrade, but the adjudication officer found the manager’s report was conditional on open competition and was not a final decision on regrading or appointment. The officer said that although the worker performed to a very high level, management decided post grading and could not recommend conceding the claim.
