A WRC adjudication officer upheld a theatre operative’s complaint that a health service provider failed to process his grievance and recommended €3,000 compensation. The recommendation was dated 26 July 2024. The worker said he was sent home without pay after a dispute about theatre equipment and was denied a formal review of his grievance. The provider acknowledged that the grievance had not been dealt with, but said the matter had been addressed through WRC conciliation and that no sanction or financial loss resulted. The officer upheld the complaint because the provider did not dispute that the grievance had not been dealt with.
