The WRC recommended that an employer pay a worker €3,500 after finding her dismissal unfair. The recommendation was dated 26 May 2025. The recruitment consultant said she had received positive feedback and believed she had three months to improve after her probation was extended. The employer said she had missed performance targets, particularly for business development calls. The adjudication officer found that the worker had not been clearly told that her performance was unsatisfactory or that her job was at risk before her probation was extended. Her employment ended the following week, before she had the promised opportunity to improve.
