The Labour Court recommended that workers represented by the Marine Port and General Workers’ Union accept Security Wardens Limited’s offer insofar as it complied with the Registered Agreement. The recommendation was signed on 12 November 1986. The union’s 26th wage-round claims covered about 50 workers and included pay, leave and other benefits. The company’s initial offer included a 4.7% increase, compassionate leave and an extra day of annual leave.
