In a recommendation signed on 2 February 1987, the Labour Court said the Federated Workers' Union of Ireland should accept management's offer under the 25th wage round and recommended additional phased increases for workers at Irish National Stud Company Limited. The increases were to bring their basic wages into line with those of general farmhand operatives at An Foras Taluntais, with one third paid from 1 December 1986, another from 1 December 1987 and the balance from 1 July 1988.
