The Labour Court recommended that Limerick Distributive Trades introduce the employers’ proposed sick pay scheme for part-time workers, with the Irish Distributive and Administrative Trade Union monitoring its operation. The recommendation was signed on 21 May 1987. After a year, the union was to raise any difficulties with the employers; if they could not agree an amendment, the matter could return to the Court.
