In 1987, the Labour Court recommended that Telemara Teoranta raise a quality supervisor’s wages from £140 to £150 a week, effective 1 June 1987. The recommendation was signed on 12 June 1987. The Federated Workers' Union of Ireland had sought the £165 weekly rate paid to other supervisors. The Court found that the claimant’s responsibilities did not match those supervisors’ duties, but merited some additional payment.
