The Labour Court recommended pay and allowance increases for workers at the South Eastern Cattle Breeding Society (S.E.C.B.S.) following the 27th wage round claim by the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union. The recommendation was signed on 7 January 1988. The Court recommended a 3% pay rise from 1 April 1987 and a further 1% from 1 January 1988, with the agreement ending on 31 March 1988. It also recommended matching percentage increases to the call bonus, a car allowance increase in line with the consumer price index from 1 April 1987, and negotiations on staffing levels during the agreement.
