The Labour Court recommended that Cork Licensed Trade amend its offer to provide a £7.50 weekly increase for bar workers affected by changes to licensing hours. It recommended that the workers accept the amended offer. The recommendation was signed on 9 March 1989. The Irish Distributive And Administrative Trade Union had sought a 5.9% increase, citing additional working time and a Dublin settlement.
