The Labour Court found that the 27th wage-round agreement precluded the National Busworkers' Union's claims about pension treatment of two bonuses at Bus Eireann. The recommendation was signed on 2 February 1989. The union sought pension recognition for the 20% one-person-operation bonus and the 33 1/3% bonus for spare drivers. The Court accepted the company's argument that the agreement, which incorporated the Programme for National Recovery, barred both claims.
