The Labour Court recommended that Erin Peats Limited favourably consider a worker for its next suitable temporary vacancy, after the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union disputed the termination of his employment. The worker had been a temporary baling operative. The dispute followed a reorganisation that ended the two-shift baling operation and the worker's unsuccessful application for a permanent production-assistant post. The recommendation was signed on 7 February 1989.
