In 1989, the Labour Court recommended that Corbett And Sons Limited implement an earlier 3% pay recommendation from 1 January 1989 and include the increase when calculating redundancy payments for three former workers. The recommendation was dated 10 February 1989. The Union Of Construction, Allied Trades And Technicians sought a pay rise for seven workers and higher redundancy payments for three former employees. The Court said it did not have the company's recent financial accounts and recommended that the parties meet to discuss the National Plan.
