The Labour Court recommended that Dunnes Stores negotiate revised overtime rates with the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union for seven catering staff. The Court said there was a firm basis for double time during late-night trading. The recommendation was signed on 22 February 1989. The union sought the rates and conditions received by drapery sales assistants. The company did not attend the hearing.
