Labour Court ·

In 1989, the Labour Court recommended that the Marine Port & General Workers' Union accept Lever Brothers (Ireland) Limited/W & C McDonnell Ltd's offer to implement National Plan terms from 1 July 1988. It also recommended a salary review towards the plan's end, but did not recommend conceding the union's £10 overnight allowance claim. The recommendation was signed on 24 February 1989. The claims concerned about 25 sales representatives. The annual leave and garage storage allowance claims had been settled before the hearing.
