Labour Court recommends driving differential and travel time for Cuddy worker

By Ruairí Dolan

Labour Court ·

In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Cuddy Development Limited pay a driver the applicable construction-industry differential retrospectively from 1 January 1986, as well as travel time under an earlier recommendation. The decision was signed on 2 February 1990. The Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union brought the claim for a worker who had been employed as a driver. It said he had not received the usual driving differential or daily travel time. The Court recommended travel time in line with Recommendation No. 10875 and the appropriate driver differential under the construction-industry agreement.
