In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that a worker accept redeployment in one of the areas offered by the Western Health Board. The recommendation was signed on 2 February 1990. The Services, Industrial, Professional Technical Union sought the worker’s return to kitchen duties after her redeployment. The Board said attendant/domestic staff could be assigned to non-nursing areas and that it had offered alternative posts on the same pay and conditions. The Court considered that the Board had acted reasonably.
