In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Brothers Of Charity Services resolve its dispute with the Irish Nurses Organisation by paying six years of retrospective annual leave premiums, to 31 March 1989. The Court said it was unacceptable that staff obligations under the Department of Health circular had not been met. The union had offered to accept three years of retrospection, while management said funding required official sanction. The recommendation was signed on 2 May 1990.
