In 1991, the Labour Court did not recommend compensation for a worker who claimed unfair dismissal from Kasks Bar/Restaurant. The recommendation was dated 18 April 1991. The worker, a commis chef, said she had received no warning about concerns with her performance. Kasks Bar/Restaurant said it had discussed those concerns and offered her part-time work waiting and cleaning tables. She initially accepted the alternative job but did not take it up. The Court found no basis to recommend compensation, noting that the worker had accepted alternative employment and then failed to take it up. It did not uphold her claim.
