Labour Court recommends higher scales for industrial relations officers

By Saoirse Doyle

Labour Court ·

In 1991, the Labour Court recommended revised pay scales for industrial relations officers and assistant industrial relations officers following a claim by the Local Government Staff Negotiations Board on behalf of staff at Manufacturing Science Finance. The Court said the differences between grades were excessive. It recommended setting the I.R.O. scale at 75% of a Division Head's scale and the assistant I.R.O. scale at 75% of the I.R.O. scale. The recommendation was signed on 26 April 1991.
