The Labour Court recommended that workers transferred during the Dunnes Stores Cornelscourt rebuild return to their former posts. It also recommended that the forklift operator receive an additional 4% on his current rate, and that changes to employment conditions be negotiated with the union rather than imposed unilaterally. The recommendation was signed on 9 January 1992. The Irish Distributive And Administrative Trade Union raised concerns about compulsory transfers, forklift-operator pay and proposed checkout duties. Dunnes Stores was absent from the hearing, and the Court relied on information put forward by the union.
