In 1992, the Labour Court found that The Patrickswell Grill had unfairly dismissed a part-time worker and recommended £120 compensation. The recommendation was signed on 30 October 1992. The worker said she became ill at work on 6 February 1992 and was dismissed the next day, with the company saying she was slow. The company did not attend the Court investigation, so the worker’s submission was uncontested.
