In 1992, the Labour Court recommended a fresh assessment of four clerical and administrative posts at Teagasc after a dispute with The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union over their grading. The union argued the jobs had changed since an earlier review, while Teagasc said increases in responsibilities were not significant. The Court noted that Teagasc had not set up an agreed grading appeal mechanism and recommended that the Institute of Public Administration (McLoughlin) examine the posts to establish their correct gradings. The Labour Court signed the recommendation on 13 November 1992.
