In 1992, the Labour Court recommended that SERVICES INDUSTRIAL PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL UNION accept Forrest Print And Stationery Limited’s offer to pay the full amount due under National Wage Agreements to a sales representative in settlement of a loss-of-earnings claim. The recommendation, signed on 13 November, followed a dispute over the worker’s claim that no basic pay increases were applied from 1985 until his employment ended in 1990. The company accepted that some increases under the Programme for National Recovery had not been applied and offered to pay arrears for January 1988 to September 1990.
