In 1993, the Labour Court recommended no concession of a worker’s claim that Intel Ireland Limited had dismissed him unfairly. The recommendation was dated 22 July 1993. The worker said he had the screwdriver for his work and did not threaten a colleague. The Court found that the incident on 3 July 1992 warranted dismissal, regardless of his previous record, and did not find that Intel Ireland Limited had acted unfairly.
