In 1993, the Labour Court recommended that Printech PLC pay £1,500 to a worker in full and final settlement of a claim for earnings lost after redeployment. The company had reassigned facilities supervisors as general operatives after a shift change, ending their supervisory and shift rates. Two of the three workers had already settled with the company. The Court noted that the remaining worker had accepted alternative employment in a redundancy situation and had lost earnings after the move. The recommendation was signed on 19 November 1993. The Graphical Print And Media Union represented the worker.
