The Labour Court recommended that University College Dublin and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union seek a way to pay increments to temporary and contract staff. The recommendation was signed on 22 July 1994. The union sought incremental credit for 80 administrative, secretarial, library and computer staff. The College accepted the merits of the claim in principle but said it lacked funds to address it.
