In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that a Convenor accept that his actions left a fellow employee feeling intimidated, and that Airmotive Ireland take no further action over the disciplinary case. The recommendation was signed on 6 June 1995. The dispute followed a colleague’s complaint about the Convenor’s conduct. Airmotive Ireland imposed a two-week suspension without pay and a written warning. The Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union said the allegations were unfounded. Faced with conflicting evidence, the Court said questioning witnesses risked damaging workplace relationships and recommended the resolution.
