In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Missionary Society Of St. Columban recognise the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's right to represent members and negotiate on their behalf. The dispute involved 15 union members employed at Dalgan Park, Navan. The Society had proposed a staff association, which the members rejected. The recommendation was signed on 4 October 1995.
