Labour Court declines to recommend regrading for University College Dublin porter

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court found insufficient grounds to substantiate a claim to regrade a University College Dublin porter. The recommendation was dated 15 November 1996. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the porter did work comparable to colleagues on a higher scale and was paid about £31 less. The college said Services staff had a seven-day liability and different responsibilities, while the porter had a five-day liability.
