In 2000, the Labour Court recommended five extra days of annual leave for 11 clerical and administrative workers at the Dun Laoghaire Institute Of Art, Design & Technology who worked Church holidays. The recommendation was dated 15 May 2000. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union said a 1998 agreement entitled the workers to the leave; the Institute argued an earlier agreement excluded them. The Court found no exclusion in the 1998 agreement and also recommended that the parties agree additional flexibilities in return.
