The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus restore a worker’s grade from 1 January 1998 under an agreement made in 1997. The recommendation was signed on 15 September 2001. The company argued that the worker’s grade had not been restored because he was absent from work and had received full pay. The Court found that the agreement contained no such qualification.
