The Labour Court did not recommend concession of Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for a 15% pay increase at Clonmel Healthcare. The recommendation was dated 24 January 2002. The Court considered the claim, as presented, to breach the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. The union said company rates were low compared with the industry; Clonmel Healthcare argued its rates were competitive.
