By Donal Gilhooly

Labour Court ·

In 2002, the Labour Court recommended that Dublin Institute Of Technology make two of four part-time temporary nurses permanent before the end of that year, with the remaining two to be made permanent before the end of 2003 or earlier by agreement. Appointments were to be made by seniority. The Irish Nurses' Organisation (Ino) had sought permanency, pension access and sick pay for nurses who had worked at the institute for between three and seven years.
