The Labour Court recommended a €2,200 payment in full and final settlement of a worker’s claims against Moynehall Car Sales, in a recommendation signed on 16 February 2004. The worker said she was dismissed after two months because of her accent. Moynehall Car Sales cited concerns about her work, communication with customers and absences during probation. The Court found that she had tried to correct shortcomings and had not been told her job was at risk. It said she should have been given more time to prove her ability to do the job.
