The Labour Court recommended restoring a one-hour pay deduction from six Bus Eireann workers at its Broadstone garage after they left stores amid dust from building work. The workers were represented by the ICTU Bus Eireann Trade Union Group and SIPTU. The Court noted that they had tried to notify management and that management's failure to address the problem led to their action. The Court made no change to the forum's recommendation on an ex-gratia payment. It rejected the claim for compensation comparable to that paid to Dublin Bus employees in 2001.
