Labour Court recommends Penneys offer parking and staff night out after Dundalk move

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court recommended that Mandate accept Penneys’ offer of 26 nominated parking spaces for workers who had previously received free parking after a store move in Dundalk. It also recommended that Penneys treat staff to a night out with a meal and drinks at a local hotel. The recommendation was signed on 25 April 2006. Mandate sought continued free parking and compensation for the disruption after about 56 workers moved between shopping centres. Penneys said free parking was unavailable at the new centre and the move was less than half a mile.
