The Labour Court recommended that Field Boxmore Limerick Limited and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union not concede a claim for a service-pay scheme. The Court said the claim was precluded by Sustaining Progress. The recommendation was signed on 18 May 2006. The union sought recognition for workers' service through a payment or additional leave. The company opposed extra costs and had proposed additional leave in exchange for changes to sick pay.
