The Labour Court recommended that Brothers Of Charity Services allocate an additional 7.5 hours a week for nursing supervision, paid at the rate and benefits of a CNMIII post. The recommendation was dated 21 July 2006. The Irish Nurses Orgainisation and Psychiatric Nurses Association sought a CNMIII post overseeing six nurses and said their reporting structure was inappropriate. Management argued that appointing a CNMIII to supervise six nurses was unjustified. The Court said the union claim had some merit and recommended that the parties agree how to use the extra hours.
