The Labour Court recommended that David McCormack & Company Architects offer a worker €2,000 compensation after finding his dismissal was unfair. The recommendation was signed on 22 September 2006. The worker said he was dismissed without warning after raising discrepancies between his take-home pay and P60 earnings with management and Revenue. The employer said he had received performance warnings and intended to leave. The Court was not satisfied that he had received adequate or appropriate warnings. The worker pursued only the unfair-dismissal claim; his grievances about payslips and written employment terms were not considered in the recommendation.
