The Labour Court recommended that a worker dismissed by Kingston Construction Ltd was let go by reason of redundancy. The worker, represented by Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, argued that others were employed after his dismissal and that he had raised concerns about his terms and conditions. The company said no work remained for him and that it had met its obligations. The Court said it could not find the selection unfair because there were no agreed selection criteria or established custom and practice. Its recommendation was dated 23 October 2006.
