The Labour Court recommended that Crown Equipment increase a worker’s severance payment by €5,000 after the company failed to complete a regrading process before ceasing to trade. The recommendation was signed on 11 June 2007. The worker sought regrading from grade 5 to grade 6 and a corresponding adjustment to his redundancy calculation. The Court said it could not determine the regrading claim, but recommended the increase in severance payment for acceptance by the worker in full and final settlement of all claims.
