In 2007, the Labour Court recommended that Sligo Institute of Technology reassure a worker who was unsuccessful in seeking promotion to Head of Learning Environment and seek to restore a constructive working relationship. The Court said it could not find a basis to prefer him over the successful candidate. The recommendation was signed on 14 June 2007.
