The Labour Court recommended one-off payments of €1,000 or €2,000 for workers at Moffett Engineering Limited after shift work ended for most employees. Unite sought compensation for lost shift-rate earnings, while the company said the shift rate was not a permanent wage feature and cited its financial position. The Court recommended €1,000 for workers with an average earnings loss up to €3,000 and €2,000 for those with a higher average annual loss, in full and final settlement. The recommendation was dated 23 June 2009.
