Labour Court recommends nine days' pay for each of nine Kerry Airport workers

By Fionn Kelly

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court recommended that Kerry Airport Catering Ltd pay each of nine workers nine days' pay at the applicable daily rate for unpaid 2007 public holidays. The recommendation was signed on 30 July 2009. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union brought the claim on the workers' behalf. The company did not attend the hearing, and the Court accepted the union's uncontested evidence that the workers had not received their statutory public holiday entitlements.
