The Labour Court recommended that a worker’s claims against The Ming Garden not be upheld, finding no grounds for his unfair dismissal claim. The recommendation was signed on 15 July 2010. The worker said he was unfairly dismissed after asking about his PRSI registration and had not received payslips or a P45. The Ming Garden said he left voluntarily and had not supplied the form or PPS number needed to register him. The Court found the employer could not meet PAYE and PRSI requirements until it received his details. It noted that the matter was later rectified and monies due were paid.
